Teens Turning Green is a student led movement devoted to education and advocacy around environmentally and socially responsible choices for individuals, schools, and communities. TTG seeks to promote global sustainability by identifying and eliminating toxic exposures that permeate our lives and threaten public and environmental health.
What began in the Bay Area in 2005 now has a presence at elementary, middle and high schools, universities, and student organizations across the country, as well as a strong virtual platform and media presence. The TTG chapters lead grassroots efforts that aim to raise awareness, encourage behavior change, and lobby for policy that will lessen local and global impact.

A word from Denise Weaver about Tomboy Soap What inspired you to agree to be a part of the Teens Turning Green line? When we discovered the Teens Turning Green program, we jumped at the chance to join their effort to promote focused education for a generation who will lead the way to a healthier planet. This generation is critical in the evolution of our economy and the kinds of products we use and buy. As a result, we want to be part of an organization which creates a movement that helps bring our society back into and eco-balance.
Why is it important to support an organization like Teens Turning Green? When you find a group with strong beliefs about something as important as the health and well being of our young people, you need to take a second look. We at Tomboy Soap are lucky enough to have something to contribute: Our knowledge and experience with ingredients and, a set of solutions that demonstrates how products made without chemicals are superior at addressing health and body care needs. Tell us about your product and its attributes Our longstanding commitment to challenging unsafe ingredients motivated us to develop our line of handcrafted soaps. We focused not only on using high quality ingredients in amounts that truly count, but also decided to produce our product in a manner that enhances those qualities by using the ‘cold process’ method of production.
The cold process method of making Tomboy Soap products cannot be understated. The lower temperatures used in the creation of our products ensures that you will receive the full benefit from the vegetable oil and essential oil ingredients. As with food, lightly steamed vegetables retain a much higher nutrient level than foods that are cooked for long periods of time.
Literally 100% of Tomboy Soap’s Lemon Geranium Body Bar ingredients are oils or butters. The unique lemon and geranium essential oil blend leaves you with an uplifting feeling all over! Using this bar first thing in the morning gives you a jump start to battling dry and dehydrated skin.
