My First TFSC Meeting

After my first meeting for the Teens for safe cosmetics club, I was inspired to alert my friends of the dangers found within our supposedly "safe" and "organic" cosmetics. Many were unaware of how many toxins exist in their shampoos, conditioners, and makeup. I think it is important to get involved, and generate an interest in people towards helping spread the knowledge. The new project we are hoping to undertake, called Project Prom, is designed to give girls the organic option for hair products, make up, dresses, and everything that needs to be done in preparation for prom night. I think this could really make a difference if girls are notified of this option. Overall, my first meeting was enlightening, and I cannot wait to learn more and start helping with the projects. -Shaina
