The Ecofest is where businesses and individuals with expertise in
sustainability
interact with the community by offering resources and information for
healthier, more conscious lives. TTG campaign members will table and
educate attendees about campaign.
The Marin County Fair will continue its tradition of the “greenest
county fair on earth” by featuring Green Street, a special area in the
Marketplace dedicated to vendors with green products and services.
Product and service criteria for Green Street can be found in the
handbook and on the application. TTG will table and educate attendee
about the campaign.
Start/Finish at Marin Country Day School, Corte Madera
Join Teens Turning Green for a Hike-a-thon to raise funds to green our
schools and develop the Eco Janitorial Closet in order to ensure a
healthier school environment. Participants will gather for a light
breakfast and then hike for 5 miles on Ring Mountain. Educators will
speak at each mile marker about toxic chemicals found in everyday
products and the alternative greener options. Prizes will be awarded
based on amounts raised. Following the hike will be a Eco Lifestyle
Expo showcasing products and services that promote thoughtful living.

Director, Judi Shils is the Keynote Speaker at this Napa Conference. It

inaugural event bringing together students from 6 middle schools to lead

around sustainability. Napa County is starting to focus much attention
on this
issue and empowering and supporting the next generation to take the lead
in their schools. TTG Campaign members will work with students to
develop
projects that they can build at their schools and in their communities.
